V Vulcan Industrial AI Program · Proposal

Sheet 02 · For decision makers

Executive Summary

Value and risk, on one page.

AI can reduce time spent on reporting, document search, quoting, and intake work — the repetitive text-heavy tasks that surround the real engineering. The plan proposed here starts with those tasks because they are measurable, low-risk, and do not touch safety-critical decisions.

The approach:

  1. Foundation first. Classify data, set an AI policy, and train staff before scaling tools.
  2. Productivity second. Microsoft Copilot where it fits, plus a secure internal knowledge assistant grounded in approved documents.
  3. Service and sales third. A field-service reporting pilot and structured intake for Bore Restore work.
  4. Operations and advanced intelligence later. Predictive maintenance waits until the data is ready — promising it earlier would be dishonest.

Every dollar figure in this proposal is a conservative, non-binding starting estimate, split into sections you can approve independently.
