Generative AI
AI that produces new content — drafts, summaries, images — rather than just classifying what already exists.
Generative AI creates new content: a first draft of a service report, a summary of a forty-page specification, a proposed reply to a customer email. That is different from older "analytical" AI, which mostly classified or scored things that already existed.
The word to hold onto is draft. Generative AI is at its best producing a strong starting point that a knowledgeable person reviews and finishes. It is at its worst when its output is treated as finished work without review — which is why every generative use in this plan has a named human approver.
Where it shows up in this proposal: the Recommended First Pilot uses generative AI to draft field-service reports that technicians approve line by line.
